A lovely day

It is a gorgeous day here in Central Florida. The sun is shining, the temperature in Mama's shady back yard is 68F. I am sitting at the kitchen table beside an open window, a very gentle breeze wafting through every so often. The wind chime on the eave is dinging a soft bell tone in syncopation with the birdsong.

This is my blogging station this morning. It is so peaceful and pretty. See my little bear there on the keyboard? That's my Java Bear. I've taken a few pics of (him?her?) before to show you what's going on, but haven't posted any of them, I think. I took some of him on the cruise. But I wanted to introduce him properly, and now seems like a good time. I'll give you a closer look in a subsequent post.

Mama and I have eaten breakfast and almost finished a pot of coffee. We have begun to discuss lunch, as the hour is approaching when one is inclined to dine.
Here are a few pictures of what Mama is doing these days.
This is the scooter Mama is using. She scoots around without having to put her foot down at all.

And here she is in the process of scooting. Isn't it adorable?

Time for me to go-fer again. Ta ta from Central Florida!

addendum: The rug there beside the scooter is folded back so she can roll on the floor without having to maneuver over the rug.

I call first dibs on your Mama's contraption. I may need it any day.

Do you have wind chimes around your home?

Old saying: "When bells are ringing there can be no evil."

I had a friend who had ankle surgery and brought one of those scooters in to work. He was able to read radiographs at the hospital rather than staying home.

Of course, one can transport films over the telephone lines and one doesn't have to come in to read them. ( a major advantage when "on-call" at night ) The process is slower and he wanted to get through the pile of films waiting for him in half the time it would take to do it by a transport machine.

Looks like a beautiful day where you are.

mum, you'd hate it here now. The high is 81 and *I'm* sweating.
How the heck is it cooler there than it is here?
That is a fascinating contraption. It looks like she's changed the place up some since the last time I saw it.
Eat a Floridian citrus fruit for me.
Hugs and kisses to you both.
