Today we're talking about Texas, specifically my opinions about Texas.
But first, a comment about Blogger. Lord'aMercy, if I don't post frequently I forget how to do it. Has taken me the better part of half an hour to get here. Good grief. Anyway, on to Texas.
I've been to Texas a time or two, but not recently. By not recently, I mean forty-some years. I rode (Daddy and my stepmom Mary drove) all the way through Texas... in the summer. It took about three weeks, IDK. It was hot as balls, but many parts were absolutely beautiful.
Texas has a reputation for being BIG. And geographically, it is, relative to other states in the contiguous US. Texas has a huge attitude about itself, too. Texans think mighty highly of themselves, and good for them. Live and let live. I'm not here to get into the politics of Texas. OMG no. Back away from that mess.
I'm gonna let Texas be Texas, respect it/them for being Texas, and move on with my life away from Texas. I respect Texas's right to be whatever they want to be, admire the beauties therein, appreciate its economic bounties and products. And honor her from afar. Because I don't want to mess with Texas. I want to leave Texas to itself.
And that's what I have to say about Texas.
