Everybody's talking at me

about this flu. And yes, I'm taking it seriously.

Y'all, wash your hands frequently. Use soap and warm water. Get yourself some hand sanitizer and use it often. Wash and/or sanitize your hands after you have touched public door knobs, used the pen on the counter at the bank, handled money, pumped gas, touched a grocery cart, shaken hands with anyone.

We live in interesting times.

Anthony Fauci was interviewed on NPR this morning about the new flu virus. He said that an alcohol hand gel doesn't kill virus, only bacteria. It's still a good idea to use it, but we MUST wash our hands with soap and water as well, for a good twenty/thirty seconds. I usually sing a verse and chorus of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. And keep your hands away from your face.

What a flash from the past. I was in Vietnam in 1969 when Harry Nilsson sang this song. I'm feeling a wee bit ancient after that.

in a day I plan to blog about the history of plague and how mankind (always) reacts to it.
