There is no reason, really. None that I can determine. I'm just sad. Terribly, miserably sad. Not even sad about anything specific, just sad.
There are little signs that inform me of depression's presence. This evening I was digging through the cabinet looking for a plastic food container and a lid to fit it. When I had the right lid but couldn't find the container I wanted, I nearly broke down in tears. Ta-da. This is a striking indication that I'm depressed.

I hope that you're feeling better soon!
On the plus side, Jesse Helms is dead! ;)
Yeah, a lid & container getting the best of you sounds like a clue, and I'm no Nancy Drew. I think even dopey Bess could connect the dots.
It's usually the little things that get the best of us. We rally when the major crises strike.
Allow me to go all Pollyanna on you and suggest making a mental list of the things you're grateful for. Let's start with air-conditioning...
You are indeed hyper-sensitive. It makes the good stuff so good, but the bad stuff SOOOOO bad. Mucho hugs, baby,

I know that feeling! I get sad for no apparent reason at random intervals. It's like an unseen shadow passes over me and then departs.
Hey Java, bless your heart. I've been there, and it is not fun.
Dark Nights of the Soul by Thomas Moore really helped me a lot. It's gentle and kind.
Awww, HUGS to you, Mary Alice Rose! I hope the goats helped your mood.
I HATE those little plastic containers and their smug, self-satisfied and elitist lids. "Oh, heavens no! I'll only go with THAT kind of a container, boo hoo..."
Don't let 'em get to you!
