I don't know. The verdict is still out on that one.
The kids are back in school and I am still alive, so if those are the measurements, yes I survived. But who am I now? I don't know.
I'll tell you a little bit about the kids. Sproing is already not doing well at school, and they've been in for seven days. We have a teacher conference with his English teacher tomorrow afternoon. Also he's failing math already. I don't know what it is about this boy, and I don't know what to do with him. That's what his English teacher says, too.
And now for Diva: she has contracted another STD, this time a biggie. She's got genital herpes. Or the way she says it, general harpies. You'd think she was an uneducated idiot. Maybe she is, though I've done everything in my power to enrich her life with educational opportunities and good moral teaching.
I don't know who I am. I feel like I'm about three feet tall with the strength of a four year old. No, I know too much to have the strength of a four year old. They have the benefit of ignorance (very different from idiocy) and naivety which increases their particular strength. I'm a useless mass of non-confidence. Or a non-confident mass of uselessness.
Can you smell the depression? And when I'm depressed I don't post on my blog very much. I also don't read blogs much, so I have no idea what anyone else is doing. Slugmama, bless her heart, sent me a message today (or was it yesterday?) inquiring of my situation. You can thank her for this post, such as it is.
I don't even go online much these days. Just this week I've checked my email almost every day, which is a huge jump from the once a week or so I was active last month. I had been doing the Facebork thing pretty regularly, but that tapered off sometime mid summer. I just don't care about much anymore.
The kids will be home any minute now and I want to be done here first, so this is what'cha got today.

Java! I am so glad to hear from you! I'm sorry you've not been well, but maybe getting the kids out of the house for a few hours a day will help.
How is Superman? Still super, I hope!
Hope you're around more, I miss you!
Peace <3
Jay
I'm glad now I pestered you via email.
And I second Jay and hope you find some mojo to write again.
Having the kids back at school at least some should improve your outlook.
I was wondering if you were still sewing like you were earlier in the Summer/Spring.
How many more years until they are out of the house? ;-)
Well this fucking sucks that you are in a funk! I was really hoping that something would change for you, you were on such an upswing there for awhile. But hey! Tomorrow is a new day and you just have to treat it like the fresh slate that it is.
Chin up, tits out, missy! You can do this.
Genital herpes, the gift that keeps on giving.
I was hoping things were better. I’m not sure what you can do other than take it day by day. I would be counting down the days until they leave for good. Some kids just can’t be helped.
I've been dropping by hoping you would be posting with updates. I learned a new word today- "Ganam" a Japanese word for enduring hardships with patience and dignity. Hang in there !
It is good to hear from you, even if the news is not cheerful. Take care of yourself.
Aw, hugs to you Java. The boys had nothing but nice things to say about you, you are loved. I am trying to remember that too as I try to stay out of the abyss. Hugs.
It is good to hear from you though I'm sorry for all the drama. Sounds like the kids are in self-distruct mode and there's little you can do about it.
I hope you'll post more often. Sometimes it's just good therapy for the soul - and you hear from friends, to boot.
Cheers.
