late night ramblings

I've been reading some of my favorite blogs, and looking at a couple of new ones. You all give me a lot to think about, both comic and dramatic, tragic and joyful.

I've had a glass of wine and a few "sissy beers." I read somewhere that blogging while tipsy can be fun for both blogger and bloggee.

Right now I just feel sleepy. Of course there may be a good reason for that. I got up at 4:30 this (yesterday, now) morning, after staying up to read my favorite bloggers until just past midnight. Goofy girl! And now it is almost 1 a.m., here I am still beating away at the keyboard.

Tomorrow is a teacher workday, "non-student" day. When the students don't go to school, I don't have to drive the bus. I will not drink the night before a work day. My job is too important/dangerous to risk driving impared. (by either possible alcohol in my blood stream, or a wicked hangover.) But I don't have to drive the bus tomorrow!

Let me explain about the sissy beers. I am not at all fond of the taste of beer. I've even been given some reportedly "good" beer. It just tastes like a higher quality of nasty. Beer is a made from malted barley. Malt. Malt liquor. Those sweetie, fruity alcoholic drinks like Smirnoff Ice and Bacardi Silver are a "premium malted beverage." With "natural flavors." And 5% alcohol by volume. Sort of like beer, only for sissy bitches like me who aren't man enough to drink real beer.
